Wiseman PR worked with the global scientific experts in HPV to address universally low levels of understanding of a virus that almost all of us will be infected with, and that causes almost half a million cancer deaths a year.

The client was passionate about the potential for improved public awareness to support global goals to eliminate HPV related cancer and save almost half a million lives a year.

We worked with the client to develop an ambitious five year strategy, that combined high quality content with targeted social and digital marketing, reinforced by grassroots engagement in each global region.

We provided an interface between scientific experts and marketing creatives to develop communication tools that would resonate across cultures and support local customisation, ensuring the sustainability of the campaign through recruitment and moblisation of a global network of stakeholders and sponsors.

In every challenge there is an opportunity and health challenges don’t come much bigger than stroke. One in four people over the age of 25 will have a stroke in their lifetime, with a disease burden that is growing fastest in developing countries. Stroke doesn’t just throw individual lives off track, the healthcare and social costs have the potential to derail progress on global sustainable development.

Working closely with WSO members and team, Wiseman PR drafted a new strategy that aimed to change public perceptions of stroke, highlight the impact of healthcare systems change and the opportunity stroke presented to unlock human and economic potential. In addition to the strategy we proposed a new framework for integrated communication that would support WSO to develop a strong global brand and develop platforms while making the most efficient use of limited financial and staff resources.
